In remembrance of Police Officer Sonny Kim

Hello Everyone,

It is with a heavy heart I send this information. We have lost another brother in law enforcement.

Cincinnati Police Officer Sonny Kim, a 27 year veteran was tragically killed in the line of duty on Friday, June 19th 2015.

Officer Kim, 48, was a South Korea-born immigrant who came to the United States in 1973. Raised in Chicago, he moved to Cincinnati in 1986 to attend classes at the university of Cincinnati. Two years later he joined the Cincinnati police force where he earned 22 commendations over the years and was praised in 2012 by the U.S. Department of Justice for his service.

Officer Kim leaves behind 3 sons and his wife, Jessica. A benefit account has been started for his children at the Cincinnati Police Federal Credit Union. Anyone wishing to donate may stop by any of our branches or mail their donation to 959 W. 8th St., Cincinnati, OH 45203.
