Chicago Police Commander Lucy Moy-Bartosik was featured on ABC news on Saturday, May 17 on a special program titled Asian Influences.
Reporter Linda Yu described Commander Moy’s journey, experience and hopes with respect to her law enforcement work and career. Commander Moy has held many positions — “beat cop, to detective, to the CAPS program, to sergeant, to lieutenant, to commander of the 20th District. She’s now the highest ranking Asian woman in the force, commander of CAPS, the patrol division.”
Moy stated that that she hopes “to bring more women, including Asian women, into the department.” AALEA is proud to have the guidance and support from long-term member Lucy Moy and we congratulate her on this recent tribute.by
